Aawaz

Terms of Service

Effective: 16 July 2026

These terms are the agreement between you and Aawaz for using the Aawaz service — the app, the WhatsApp assistant, and everything they connect to. By creating an account or using the service, you accept them.

The short version: tell Aawaz your business honestly, confirm what it proposes before anything is booked, and stay in charge of your filings. Aawaz does the bookkeeping work — but the books and the returns are yours.

1. The service

Aawaz is an AI bookkeeping assistant for Indian businesses. It records the sales, expenses, credit (udhaar), and invoices you tell it about by voice or text, keeps your ledgers, prepares GST summaries, and — only when you explicitly confirm — submits GST filings on your behalf.

2. Your account

You sign in with your mobile number and a one-time password (OTP); there is no account password. Keep your phone and WhatsApp account secure — anyone with access to them can act on your books. Tell us immediately at the contact below if you suspect misuse.

You must be at least 18 years old and using Aawaz for a business.

3. Confirmation is the rule

Nothing is written to your books and no return is filed without your confirmation. Because every entry follows from what you said and confirmed, you are responsible for reviewing each proposal before saying yes — the Confirm action is your signature.

4. Not professional advice

Aawaz automates bookkeeping and GST preparation. It is not a chartered accountant, tax advisor, or law firm, and its output is not professional advice. You — or the chartered accountant you connect — remain responsible for the accuracy and timeliness of your returns.

5. The WhatsApp channel

Aawaz talks to you over WhatsApp, a service of Meta that has its own terms. We do not control WhatsApp’s delivery or availability, and your carrier’s message and data rates may apply.

6. Fees

Your current plan and its price are shown in the app. We will give you advance notice before any price change affects you, and you can stop using the service before it does.

7. Acceptable use

  • Keep books only for your own business, or for a business that has authorised you.
  • Do not use Aawaz for anything unlawful, and do not ask it to record false entries.
  • Do not probe, overload, or attempt to break the service or access other users’ data.
  • Do not resell or white-label the service without a written agreement with us.

8. Your data

Your business records belong to you. You can export them, or delete your account and its data, from Settings at any time. How we collect and handle data is described in the Privacy Policy, which is part of these terms.

9. Availability and disclaimers

Aawaz is provided “as is” and “as available”. We work hard to keep it reliable, but we cannot promise uninterrupted service, and we are not responsible for downtime of third-party systems such as WhatsApp or the GST portal (GSTN). Statutory filing deadlines remain yours to meet.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent Indian law allows, Aawaz’s total liability for any claim arising out of the service is limited to the fees you paid us in the three months before the event giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for penalties arising from entries and filings you confirmed.

11. Suspension and ending the agreement

You can stop using Aawaz and delete your account from Settings at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that break these terms or put the service or other users at risk; where reasonable, we will warn you first. Your right to export your data survives until deletion completes.

12. Changes to these terms

If we make material changes to these terms, we will tell you in the app or on WhatsApp before they take effect. Continuing to use Aawaz after that means you accept the updated terms.

13. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the competent courts in India have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them or from the service.
